I don’t think starship troopers is remembered very fondly, so he’s got lots of space to work with.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s a classic if not a cult classic, most people know about this movie love it.
Wut? ST is a cult classic.
Even watching it in the cinemas I loved it. Was slightly too young to get the fascist undertones, but that made it so much better to rewatch a few years later.
